Vision Team


  • Abhijit Goswami

    Abhijit is a Consultant at the Vision Management Unit and was involved in drafting and preparation of the Sector paper on Agriculture & Allied Sectors and Food Processing for Andhra Pradesh Vision 2029. He has also worked on preparing the Strategy note on Modernization of Rythu Bazars (Farmers' Markets) in Andhra Pradesh and aided in drafting the Annual Action Plan 2018-19 for Restructured National Bamboo Mission (NBM) for the state.

    Abhijit holds a PGD in Agri Warehousing & Supply Chain Management from National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad and a B.Sc. (Agri) from the Assam Agricultural University. He has worked for more than 11 years in the domain of Government Consulting, Agri & Micro Finance, Agri Warehousing and Commodity Procurement.

  • Ambarish Ambuj

    Ambarish is a Consultant at the Vision Management Unit and works in the areas of education, skill development and health with one of the key projects being evaluation of schemes in these areas in collaboration with UNICEF.

    Prior to joining VMU, he has done PGP in Management from Indian School of Business with dual specializations in Strategy and Finance. He also holds a B. Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has worked for 5 years with Tata Steel.

  • Andrew Jefferson

    Andrew Jefferson is an Associate at VMU and works with Urban Development and Infrastructure sectors. As part of urban development sector, he is involved in the studies of Andhra Pradesh Cities titled “Andhra Pradesh Sustainable Cities Index” and Modal Share of Public Transport in Andhra Pradesh Cities.

    His areas of expertise are in public utility provisioning and regulations, land conflicts, institutions and sustainability. He holds Master’s degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Bachelors degree in English Literature from Madras Christian College.

  • Gillprit

    Gillprit is an Associate at the Vision Management Unit and works on the computation of the Happiness Index of Andhra Pradesh. Her current assignments include the Independent Audit of the State’s Outcome-based Monitoring and Evaluation System, constructing indicators to assess and monitor ‘Ease of Living’ within the State and formulating a ‘State Courtesy Campaign’ to encourage courteous behavior among the state.

    She holds an MA degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and has done her undergraduate study in Economics (Honours) from the University of Delhi.

  • Jyotsna Joshi

    Jyotsna is a Senior Associate at the Vision Management Unit and handles sectors of Industry, Infrastructure and Energy. She has led the Global Competitiveness Index study for the state of Andhra Pradesh for years 2015-16 and 2017-18. As a part of her sectoral responsibilities, she has been part of the assignments involving developing a proposal for the Coastal Economic & Employment Zones, and Economic Cities in Andhra Pradesh. She has been a facilitator of the Retail LABS in February 2016 which were instrumental in designing initiatives like setting up of Retail Parks in select cities and towns of the state based on their consumption patterns. She also facilitated the Urban Development- Housing Labs in August 2016 which led way to draft formation on the Housing Policy of the State.

    Her current assignments involve developing strategies for technology upgradation and fostering innovation in the state that aim at meeting the Vision 2029 targets of GVA addition and employment generation

    Jyotsna holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication from Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

  • Proma

    Proma is an associate and a member of Data Analytics team at the Vision Management Unit. Her primary role is to provide analytical support to all studies and research being conducted across sectors in the team. Her current assignments include the Independent Third-party Audit of the Outcome Based Monitoring and Evaluation System and providing analytical support for Happiness Index study.

    She holds a Master’s Degree in Development studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and has completed her Bachelor’s Degree from Christ University in Economics, Statistics and Mathematics (Triple Major).

  • Rajatha Prabhakar

    As a consultant at VMU, she has been handling projects in Urban Development & Infrastructure . She is involved in preparation of Sustainability City Index for the state of Andhra Pradesh, a pitch for establishing economic cities in the state, based on product specialization, a compendium with recommendations for increasing GVA of construction sector and an exercise to establish base line data for public transport . She has also worked on Vision 2029 KPIs, research and reports.

    Rajatha has previously worked as a Program lead at B.PAC (Bangalore Political Action Committee), a not-for-profit civic advocacy firm and as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs India. She holds a PGP in Public Policy and Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a degree in commerce from Christ University.

  • Soumya Guha

    Soumya is an Associate at the Vision Management Unit as a member of the Data Analytics team. His engagements include the construction and computation of the Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) for Andhra Pradesh, the review of the vision 2029 indicators and the designing of a proposed VMU Household survey -apart from other cross sectoral collaborations and assistance.

    He holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Symbiosis International University. Apart from data driven evidence based policy making, he harbors a keen interest in the behavioral peculiarities of economic theory and policy in action.

  • Sulmeet Kaur

    Sulmeet is a Consultant at the Vision Management Unit and works in Industry, MSME and Retail sectors in the team. She is currently involved in developing a strategy to identify and promote handicrafts and other Made in AP products toward capturing a domestic and global market from the state.

    Prior to VMU, she has founded Women’s apparel private label “From the Ramp” focused at generating sustainable employment opportunities for low skilled labor, especially for women in apparel manufacturing sector. She holds a PGP in Management from the Indian School of Business, majoring in Marketing and Public Policy, and a B.Tech. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology.
